The Independence Business Alliance (IBA) is the official Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Chamber of Commerce for the Greater Philadelphia region. An affiliate of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and an affiliate member of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the IBA serves the LGBT and business communities of Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania; Mercer, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties in New Jersey; and New Castle County in Delaware.
 
The IBA provides value to member businesses through business development opportunities, exposure to businesses and consumers, representation in the regional and national LGBT and business communities, resources for business growth and operation, and advocacy for civil rights and business-friendly public policy. Membership in the IBA provides access to a variety of business-focused events and programs.

IBA Membership Levels are:

Business Membership ($200) - This membership is for sole proprietors, independent agents, professionals and small businesses that can benefit from business referrals, marketing opportunities and other IBA benefits. Business members are included in the Online Business Directory and printed membership listings, and are entitled to all the benefits of the IBA including voting rights.

• Discount on NGLCC LGBT Supplier Diversity Certification fee – certify your business as an LGBT Business Enterprise for contracting opportunities with America's top corporations (application and qualifications apply)
• National Membership in the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce with all associated benefits, including a full listing on the NGLCC’s online membership directory, subscription to the NGLCC’s BIZ e-newsletter, discounted tickets to NGLCC events and programs, and membership purchasing discounts
• Access to Affiliate Member benefits, discounts and events from the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, including the GPCC’s health benefits program

 
Executive Membership ($500) - This membership is for businesses that wish to capitalize on additional business development and marketing opportunities.
 
Include the benefits of BUSINESS membership plus:

• Member pricing for three (3) people to IBA events, including GPPN Networking Mixers
• Access to one (1) set of IBA member labels per year for business mailing (mailing must be approved by the IBA)
• Opportunity to include a flyer/brochure in one (1) monthly member mailing
• Opportunities to display flyers/brochures at IBA events, when possible
• Invitation to annual President’s Breakfast

 
Corporate Membership ($1,000) - Designed for corporations and businesses that wish to maximize business development and marketing opportunities.
 
Benefits include the benefits of BUSINESS membership plus:

• Member pricing for five (5) people to IBA events, including free admission to GPPN Networking Mixers
• Access to two (2) sets of IBA member labels per year for business mailing (mailings must be approved by the IBA)
• Opportunity to include a flyer/brochure (specifications) in two (2) monthly member mailings
• Opportunities to display flyers/brochures at IBA events, when possible
• Invitation to annual President’s Breakfast and President’s Lunch

 
Chairman Membership ($2,500) - Designed for individuals, businesses and corporations that wish to support the IBA in a unique way and be recognized as an investor in the LGBT business community.
 
Benefits include the benefits of CORPORATE membership plus:

• Sponsorship of one program/event per year
• Two tickets to the annual NGLCC National Dinner in Washington, D.C. (November)
• Special invitations and opportunities

 
Non-Profit Membership ($100) - Non-Profit Members must provide evidence of 501c3 non-profit status. Non-Profit members are entitled to all the benefits of
the IBA including voting rights.
 
Benefits:

• Member pricing to all IBA events, including free admission to GPPN Networking Mixers

Professional Associate ($85) - This membership is ideal for LGBT professionals interested in networking and meeting like-minded professionals. This tier of
membership does not include a business directory listing or voting rights. This membership is best for people who are not engaging in business development.

• Member pricing to select IBA events, including free admission to GPPN Networking Mixers
• Monthly member mailings and e-newsletters

 
Student Membership ($35) - Student Members must provide evidence of full-time enrollment in an educational institution.
 
Benefits:

• Member pricing to select IBA events, including free admission to GPPN Networking Mixers (must be 21 years of age)
• Monthly member mailings and e-newsletters
